I did a lot of complete articles for TNO magazine and De Ingenieur (Both in Dutch). Here an overview of them:
Interactive 3d applications
Slowly I am building a curriculum of interactive 3d applications. A few years ago I build a 3d anatomical model of the common labrat, Rattus norvegicus. Most of the 3d applications are based on that model. The 3d applications can be used as tutorials on the rat anatomy for example.
I based the rat model on 4 male Long-Evans rats and a lot of research I gathered via Science-Direct. In the model itself I always used the most common anatomy found. The rat is build in such a way that it can both be used for high quality renditions and fast 3d applications
In this project overview you can browse through my Sketchfab portfolio. Keep in mind that some of the models aren’t optimized and thus can be a bit heavy on your browser. It is a thin line between showing a lot of detail in the 2d renditions and usability in Sketchfab. Not all of my models that are on Sketchfab are placed here. yet.
